On Monday, December 23^rd, Department of Education and Training of Binh Thuan province conducted a workshop on enhancing the ability to organize teaching procedures in direction of quality and capacity development for primary schools in Ham Thuan Bac district. Many teachers from other districts in Binh Thuan province were eager to join this event. The workshop lasted for two days and brought many benefits for both teachers and students.

On the first day, the teachers took part in two periods taught by Ms. Tuyen Doan and Ms. Y Bui from Ham Thang 2 Primary School.

Through innovative methods and flexibly organized activities in class provided by Ms. Tuyen, students were given chances to get involved in all the activities actively. They themselves, with the teacher’s guide, explored the new vocabulary about places of interest and grammatical structures. Using English confidently, they interacted well with each other in pairs and groups. Also, they produced their own language through the last activity, in a real context; Moreover, the teacher was creative to cover “Một thoáng quê hương” in English, singing this song made students more proud of their beautiful country.

In spite of young age, grade 3 students were also active and eager to learn about activities at break time. Applying AI technology to design PowerPoint lectures, Ms. Y made students more interested in the lectures. After that, they could combine their own language they had known with the knowledge they got from the lecture to talk freely in the last part “Let’s talk”. Students went around the class, communicated with different students, using their own language. This created a great learning and using English environment.

         The workshop ended on December 24^th at Ham Liem primary school. All the participants agreed that this workshop was really helpful and provided them with valuable practical ideas to organize their language class effectively. Also, they hoped that they would have more chances to participate in the event like this in the future.
